Quite often, a would-be patient’s first question is “how much does a hair transplant cost?”. It makes sense that one would be concerned about pricing, but remember that this isn’t shoe shopping! We are talking about a cosmetic surgical procedure that requires skill and experience. Although naturally, cost is a factor, it shouldn’t be the decision maker or deal breaker. Hasson & Wong costs are comparable to other top-tier clinics, and, as these things go, you get what you pay for — the best hair transplant results…worthy of a celebrity.

You’d be hard pressed to find a hair transplant clinic in the UK that can compare, and believe me I tried. I had three hair transplants in the UK before finding Hasson & Wong.  At 21, I began noticing my hair loss. I sought some natural remedies at first then tried out for an advanced hair system wig (left before they fitted it). At 23, in 1996, I had my first HT with Dr May now of the Wimpole clinic, UK for 450 grafts, hairline was placed too low and wonky, overall results was very grafty. In 1997, I went to Dr Norton to get more coverage, 500 grafts that again were very “grafty”. In 1998, I went back to Dr Norton for 600 grafts gave me some extra coverage but resulted in permanent nerve damage to left hand side of scalp. I gave up on hair transplants until my hair thinned so much that the old pluggy work became very obvious. In June of 2006, I had 4850 grafts by Hasson & Wong. I like many UK patients wind up there wishing we had gone to H&W in the first place. Hair transplant cost, was a concern in my first three UK surgeries , but you tell me, should cost and location have been the deciding factor back then? In the end, I would have saved money and heartache by choosing the best hair transplant clinic, not the closest or most convenient.

Look at the patient galleries of any hair transplant clinic in the UK, then look at the hair transplant photos and hair transplant video gallery at Hasson & Wong. If you do, you’ll note a difference immediately. Not only are there ten times as many results as most clinics but their videos are the best I’ve seen, shot in high resolution, with close ups, under natural lighting conditions showing not only the work but the donor area. Okay, perhaps the cost of getting a hair transplant in the UK is a little cheaper…you don’t have travel expenses for instance, but it really is about the results. You want it done right, the first time. You want as many grafts as you can get (something Hasson & Wong are famous for). You want naturalness. Look at galleries and let your gut be your guide. You want growth. Again, look at results. Results, results, results. Ther’es the rub, as the saying goes.

Hair transplant costs are relative…you may in the end pay more for a hair transplant in the UK if you find yourself returning for touch-ups or if it requires multiple surgeries. In the end, for me, the math was easy…Hasson & Wong get results, get more grafts in single surgical sessions than any clinic in the UK or the world.  I just wish I’d found them first.
